Introdução

Use this guide to enter service mode and quick test mode on a 2013-era Samsung washing machine with an LCD display and Temp, Spin, and Soil Level buttons. You can pull up stored error codes, run a quick spin test, and test the drain pump, water valves, lid lock, and motor.

Codes covered near the end of the video:

  • Samsung Washer DC Code
  • Samsung Washer nF Code
  • Samsung Washer 1E Code
  • Samsung Washer 3E Code
  • Samsung Washer nd Code
  • Samsung Washer AE Code
  • Samsung Washer E2 Code
  • Samsung Washer ds Code
  • Samsung Washer LE Code
  • Samsung Washer 0E Code (Samsung Washer OE Code)
    • Press the Power button to turn the washer on.

    • If the user interface doesn’t turn on, check the wall power, and check the washer’s electrical connections.

    • If the washer still won’t power on, the PCB board may be bad, and this guide won’t cover that repair.

    • Press and hold Delay Start and Extra Rinse at the same time for three seconds.

    • Use two fingers so you can press both buttons together.

    • Listen for three distinct beeps to confirm service mode is active.

    • Look for "00" on the display, which indicates everything is good.

    • Press Power to turn the washer off and on if you need to reset and exit service mode.

    • Press the Spin button to open the error code display.

    • Confirm a "D" appears on the screen to verify you’re in the correct mode.

    • Turn the jog dial to scroll through multiple stored error codes, if more than one is present.

    • Select an error code, and press and hold Start/Pause to display how many cycles have run since that error occurred.

    • Press the Spin button again to exit the error code display and return to the service diagnostic menu.

    • Use the service diagnostic menu to review items like cycle count, software revision, fast time down, and demo mode.

    • If the cycle count shows nothing, the washer may not retain the count after being unplugged.

    • Press the Soil Level button to display the software revision.

    • Press the Soil Level button again to cycle back out to service mode.

    • Press and hold Delay Start and Pre Soak for three seconds to start the quick spin test.

    • Stay with the washer during this test so you can notice out-of-balance conditions or other issues.

    • Watch the display to see the tach sensor RPM readout as the motor ramps up over a few minutes.

    • The lid may lock during the spin test, and you may not be able to open it.

    • Press and hold Start/Pause to try to hold the RPM at a specific speed during the quick spin test.

    • The lid lock may engage during the test, but it may also unlock again while the test is still running.

    • Press the Power button to stop the quick spin test if the button combo doesn’t turn it off.

    • Turn the washer off.

    • Press and hold Spin, Soil Level, and Power at the same time for three seconds.

    • Note that quick test mode clears stored faults from memory.

    • Wait for the display to briefly show the software version, clear the EEPROM, and then show the model information.

    • If the model information shows "EEEE" instead of a model string like "UC2A," the PCB assembly is bad.

    • Turn the dial while the version is displayed to view version modes used for testing.

    • Press the Spin button to turn the drain pump on.

    • Listen for the drain pump running to confirm it at least powers on and sounds normal.

    • Press the Spin button again to turn the drain pump off.

    • Press the Temp button to cycle through the water valve circuit test.

    • Cycle through the different temperature valve modes in order, starting at cold and working up through warmer settings to hot, plus combination modes if supported.

    • Expect some residual water flow, and expect water to enter the drum during the valve test.

    • Press the Spin button to run the drain pump briefly if you need to remove water added during testing.

    • Press the Soil Level button to toggle the door lock on.

    • Try to move the door to confirm it won’t open while locked.

    • Press the Soil Level button again to unlock the door.

    • Turn the dial to the SP mode setting to access the motor test.

    • Verify the water level satisfies the water heater level requirement, or the washer won’t enter the motor test.

    • Press Start/Pause to start the motor test for clockwise and counterclockwise movement.

    • Be aware the behavior changes based on the selected mode, such as SP mode versus TE test mode.

    • Press Start/Pause to end the motor test.

Conclusão

Service mode lets you pull stored error codes and view diagnostic information, and quick test mode lets you actively test key components like the drain pump, water valves, lid lock, and motor.
