Follow this procedure to swap a faulty detergent and rinse-aid dispenser in your dishwasher door. Replacing the dispenser restores correct detergent release, prevents poorly washed dishes, and avoids leaks that can reach the door electronics.

Pull each wire connector off the dispenser terminals according to your photos.

Insert a small flathead screwdriver under each plastic clip and pry while pressing the dispenser toward the tub.

Wash the original gasket under running water with a soft brush until all residue is removed.

Slide the new dispenser into the door cut-out with the electrical connectors facing the dishwasher tub.

Press firmly until a loud click confirms every clip has locked.

Remove insulation debris and food residue inside the door cavity.

Wipe the bottom door gasket and its channel to eliminate odor-causing buildup.

Reattach the latch switch or door contact using the two thicker screws if it was removed.

Align the inner and outer door panels and hold them together.

Install and tighten all perimeter screws evenly to secure the door.

With the new dispenser installed and a quick rinse cycle completed, verify there are no leaks around the door and confirm the dispenser lid opens during a normal wash. The dishwasher is now ready for reliable, streak-free cleaning.
