Introdução

This guide will show you how to disassemble a Honeywell Turbo Force Air Circulator Fan, so cleaning the interior of the fan is easier. It will also allow for further actions to take place such as oiling the rotor of the fan.

    • Remove the 6 screws from the backside of the fan.

    • You will want a Phillips screwdriver with a fairly long, thin shaft for this step, especially for the screw up top above the fan speed knob. The screws are recessed several inches into the body of the fan.

    • Remove the front grill cover.

This is a lot harder than it looks at first. I believe that some models may have a metal ring, and that can make the removal 10 times harder. The only way I was able to remove the ring was to take a small screwdriver and bend one of the flaps up until the ring had enough room to be pried out.

I had a metal ring in mine and yes it was a pain to get off and to get back on. I appended a tip to the plastic ring step on how I got it back on.

    • Remove the inside plastic ring around center shaft.

    • Enables the fan blades to be removed.

    • Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the plastic ring.

    • During reassembly, you will likely need to apply pressure on two opposite sides of the ring in order for it to re-mount to the post properly. Ensure that the raised convex side is facing towards you.

I am having issue with reassembling the leg back onto the fan due to the pivot attachment. Can u help

I have a Honeywell HF910. I have taken the cover off but there are no screws behind the fan blades. Any suggestions on how to remove the fan blades? Thank you.

I have a Honeywell HF 810 series fan. I’ve watched both your videos on the 800 and 900 series. I have a problem with the front grill releasing. I’ve taken out all 10 screws and been able to loosen it all the way around, forcefully with screw drivers but it won’t release. It is like the motor is attached to the Front/back grill.Help!

Decided to clean my nightstand fan that's been sitting with tons of dust in it and losing strength every night. Couldn't figure out how to get the ring off so I googled the model number and when I saw an iFixit guide, it was an immediate click from me. Didn't even notice the screw holes in the back of the fan until they were pointed out. That clip holding the blades in place was a pain to get both off and back on, but I managed with some elbow grease and a couple of flathead screwdrivers. Gave all the non-electric parts a quick wash and dry then wiped down everything from the back grill with a dustcloth and some Q-tips to get into the crevices. Not a perfect cleaning job but a massive amount better than before and it's blowing some good strong air now on my desk while I type this. It's hot out there, y'all! Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay safe, and keep fighting for the right to fix your own stuff! Thanks to the community author who put this up!
