Introdução

If your flared corduroy pants are too long here is the guide for you! This guide will use simple hand stitching techniques and few sewing materials to raise the hem of your pants to your desired length. You may have been experiencing heel bite or damage to the bottom of your pants; or maybe they are just too long. This guide will help you fix your pants while keeping the professional look of the original hem. This guide only requires basic sewing knowledge. Because of the specific cut and fabric of the pants, tailoring can often be expensive, but this guide will walk you through how to do it all on your own.

    • Place sewing pins parallel to the fold to hold it in place. Continue this around the pant leg until there are pins along the entire fold.

    • Make sure that the pant leg does not bunch up when pinning because it is a flare pant. Ironing pants flat can be helpful. Check maintenance instructions to make sure you can iron pants first.
