    • Find the red dot along the top of the filter cover.

    • The red dot will be aligned with the white dot at the bottom of the hair dryer's handle.

    • Twist the filter cover counter-clockwise until the red dot is shifted to align with the white empty circle on the dryer handle.

    • Remove the filter cover by sliding it off of the body of the hairdryer.

    • Use a saw or sidecutters to destructively remove the broken filter cover from the cable while taking care to not damage the insulation of the power cable.

    • The replacement part will have a slot on the side that makes it possible to install it by sliding onto the cable.

    Most filter cages are not split. Just cut off the moulded plug. Slide on the new filter cage and fit a rewirable plug top. Job done.
