    • Grab your Apple Pencil Generation 1. Make sure you have replacement tips . You can buy them from Apple or Amazon.

    • To take off your Apple Pencil's current tip, squeeze it between two fingers and turn it counterclockwise to unscrew it. It should come off within seconds.

    • Once it's off, place your new Pencil tip on the metal prong and screw it clockwise until it's tight. Once it stops turning easily, you can let go.

    To anyone else having problems with a broken-off tip: Mine was broken off underneath the casing so I couldn't unscrew it by hand. I managed to unscrew it by sticking a pointy object into the soft plastic part of the tip, and then pushing it counter-clockwise until it was loose enough. When doing this, it's important not to stick the object into the hard plastic outer case or the sensitive inner metal part.
