Introdução

This guide demonstrates how to replace the engine air filter in a 2015 Volkswagen Golf, but it should apply to other Golfs in the seventh generation.

This is the filter that cleans the air coming into your car’s engine. Often, these filters become clogged and can cause damage and reduced performance if ignored.

Good practice is to replace the filter every 12-15,000 miles or about every six months if used regularly.

Make sure the car is off and the engine is cool before you begin.

    • Use a Torx 25 screwdriver to unscrew the seven screws from the outer edges of the filter housing.

    • The screws are captive and won’t come out all the way. Don’t force them, or you may strip them.
