Background

The JBL Pulse 3 is a Bluetooth speaker. It has IPX7 waterproofing, so the device cannot be damaged due to water spills, submersion in water, or rain. The JBL Pulse 3 can be controlled via Bluetooth through the JBL Connect+ app on your smartphone. It also allows you to take calls through the device without echoes or distortion. The body of the device has LED lights with light show capability.

Identification

The JBL Pulse 3 is easily identifiable compared to earlier models, the JBL Pulse and JBL Pulse 2. The JBL Pulse 3 only has speakers and a speaker cover on the bottom portion of the device, and a light display cover on the majority of the device. The JBL Pulse 3 also has push buttons on the bottom of the device by the speakers. Earlier models of the speaker had buttons along the entire side of the device.

The JBL Pulse 3 is pill-shaped, and the JBL logo is printed in white with a red background towards the bottom of the side of the device. It was sold in solid black and white. You can find the serial number printed on the inside flap of the USB ports.
