Background

The HP ProBook 440 G5 Notebook PC is HP's 5th generation of Notebook PC's released worldwide in 2018. Featuring 8th gen intel processors, and 256 GB of storage. The original price of the computer was around $750 being marketed as a more affordable option. These specs set it apart from other 14 inch laptops that it was in competition with as the better processing power allowed for better performance.

The ProBook was meant to give businesses an edge as its smaller design allowed better portability compared to other models. The 440 G5 was lighter than the models before it allowing for even better success on the go.

The 440 G5 model did have some issues however. The craft on the case itself wasn't good leaving poor edges on the aluminum wrist rest. The cheaper plastic of the Probook 440 G5 also meant the case itself would get warped easily, making storing it quite the challenge. With these customer complaints HP never released a statement or made any recalls of the product.

The G5 model was succeeded by the G6 model in 2019.
